Recently we received a letter from Liquidlogic’s Shane Benedict:
I just spent an hour in an out of the water trying to pull a boat out of the nastiest little pin I have seen in a long time. It started with a couple folks just trying to pull it out and it escalated all the way to 8 people pulling on a z-drag, breaking the grab handle, and making the pin worse. I was in the new IR dry suit. I spent as long as 5 minutes straight standing in waist deep water placing biners, and ropes and such. My low cut, black, semi dress, Hanes socks (i pick hanes because then I just put an S in front of hane’s and they are personalized) socks were dry when I got off the river as well as the rest of my union suit. Not only that but every time I share zipper zipping trade off with friends they all gasp, “whoa nice zipper!” The color is working great with my new red pfd. Couple that with my boat and it makes a bold, safe, statement on any river, any time of year. I think bright colors say something in the beginnings of spring much like the Finch turning brighter yellow as the days warm here in North Carolina.

The pin was only scary because we put a z-drag on it. The paddler just stepped out of the boat without getting wet. Fortunately we pretty much knew it would blow out so we put dampeners on the line and when it blew no one got hurt and that put an end to the fun.
Seriously though I was in the water a ton and the new suit was perfect.
