These are the parts you will recieve with your IR Forward-Adjust Backratchet Kit

These are the basic installation steps, 1-6.

Step 1 - Remove existing outfitting

Step 2 - Install IR Ratchet using existing hardware

Step 3 - Drill holes for webbing loop installation

Step 4 - After webbing loops are installed, feed backband webbing through loops.

Step 5 - Insert webbing into IR ladder-lock ratchet strap

Step 6 - Insert ratchet strap into IR ratchet

If you want to do the big fat amazing installation then go back to step 2.  After you install your ratchet, instead of installing the webbing loops, follow the steps below, 1-4.

Step 1 - Make a line on the cockpit kiss-off (Jackson boat) with a permanent marker

Step 2 - Very carefully drill the line out with a dremel tool or electric drill to make a slot.

Step 3 - Feed webbing through kiss-off slots

Step 4 - Intall ratchet strap and stick it in the ratchet. You are now going to experience professional comfort in your kayak.
