The Teva Mountain Games took place last week in Vail, CO, and once again, hosted one of the most notorious steep creek races known to man (and woman), the Homestake Creek Race. This little gem is located just upstream to the famous Gilman Gorge section of the Eagle, just outside of Vail a bit. Homestake is known for its 480 feet-per-mile of gradient, and is also well known for being a very technical, pinny run.
With that said, we would like to officially congratulate IR Team Member, and Homestake Queen for 2011, Adriene Levknecht. Adriene won by an astonishing 17 seconds with her combined times on a 2 minute course, and beat out some tough competition, including former champ Nikki Kelly.
