Long story short, I would try a reggie. If I remember correctly, that boat’s backband adjusts from the thigh braces, please note that the stock reggie is adjusted on the back of the backband, and would be attached to the seat or seat bolts.

I have a liquid logic hoss with a stock ratchet system. The backband that comes with this boat is horrible. Which backband would you recommend as my lower back kills me.

Hey Paul,

That should fit no problem- it uses the same straps and ratchets as the backband thats in there.

Does the LoungeBand fit my necky Blunt. It has a very narrow IR backband that I think came with the boat (It has IR on the back and Necky printed on the front). Would I be able to just insert the new back rest to the existing raychet straps?

Hey Mike,

there is really very little difference between the two, besides size. The loungeband is a bit bigger. I would say in general, the reggie is more a “back support” that does well while you are rolling, or generally paddling aggressively because it stays out of the way a little better, and the loungeband is more of a “back rest”. The loungeband has a rear pocket also.

Great feed back and video clip on your backbands. I wish to replace the backband on the CD roto Sirocco but am not sure weather ‘reggie’ or ‘Lounge is the way to go, as I like the support similar to the backrest in my old CD Storm. Any suggestions?

Either one would work- I would say if you’re not sure, go with the Reggie with a whitewater boat. The basic installation should be pretty straightforward- if you chose to install the “pro straps” to keep the backband up high, it’s a little more complicated. You can always call us for installation help as well- we field those calls quite frequently here.

Which of your backbands do you recommend for an RPM? A Reggie or a LoungeBand? What kind of effort is required for the installation?

thanks for the comment. In a GTX it is actually a very simple install, and it should only take you about 20 minutes. If you go to our backband service page (a link from our service menu) and watch the backband install video, it will walk you through the process.
