J-Lo (Women’s Specific Skirt)

Blue/Light Gray

A women’s specific version of our popular Shockwave skirt. Bungee construction for a dry seal on a wide range of cockpit rims, but easy to get on. New for ’08, unique super sticky silicon on inside of skirt to keep skirt from imploding. Highly tear resistant, stretchy, durable, 3.5 mil Supratex in high wear areas. Double-sewn bungee for added durability. All seams glued, blind stitched and taped. Features a shorter tapered tunnel (to fit a women’s torso), and super stretch hip panels (to make it easier to slip on).

Fit Help

Getting the right skirt fit can be very difficult, given that every boater’s needs are unique. This is complicated by the fact that there are 100’s of different rim designs in the market, with dozens of new designs showing up every year. The best way to size up your rim is NOT to rely on information published by the manufacturer- many times the information is outdated or inaccurate. The best thing to do is to measure your rim yourself- and the most useful measurement is the cockpit circumference. The length and width can be used also, if that’s all you can find. All measurements INCLUDE the rim. For the circumference, measure around the outer edge of the rim- NOT UNDER THE RIM where the bungee or rand rests when the skirt is on. If you don’t have easy access to the boat you are trying to fit- try looking it up on skirtfit.com

1) Keep in mind that the most accurate fit measurement is circumference!

2) This is our “suggested” fit- some paddlers may need a tighter or looser fit depending on skill level. Where measurements overlap are places where you can go either size, depending on your needs.

Women!! You don’t need a rand sprayskirt to stay dry! I’ve hit the V-Wave in Lava on the GC in this skirt with confidence. AND, it is easy to put on; no more need for “will you help me?”! This skirt is dry, easy to put on the body and the boat, and comfy. You’ll love it!

Hey! I am interested in your J-Lo spray skirt and was wondering what cockpit size would fit my Dagger Nomad 8.1.

Most people would use an XL on that boat.

    Thanks,

Is the waist size range for the J-Lo same as your other skirts? In theory, with a 28″ waist, I should be a small, but I pulled one on and could barely breathe. The shop didn’t have a medium for me to try.

    Hey Kathy,
The waist size range for the J-lo is actually one size down from all of our other skirts. For example a MD tunnel on our shockwave would compare to LG tunnel on a J-lo. If you are referencing the size 28” for yourself a MD tunnel J-lo should fit great.
