A shield like, half skirt, for the paddler who wants the benefits of a skirt, such as sun protection and keeping water from splashing into the cockpit without the encumbrance of a full skirt. Made with durable, waterproof nylon and an adjustable bungee draw cord to hook around the cockpit rim. Seam sealed.
Will this skirt fit my boat? here’s a quick way to tell. If the cockpit (including the rim) is 20″ wide or less 18″ from the front of the rim, this skirt will fit.

I need a half skirt to fit an Old Town Loon 111, will yours fill the bill?

Hey Gary,
I’m afraid not- that rim is an unusual shape, and offhand I don’t know of any skirt that would fit that boat. You might want to take a look at Seals or SnapDragon, though, they may make a skirt designed to fit that pointy front…

Old Town Loon 111. half-Skirt Fitment.
Gary,
The forward cockpit splash rail is very unique on the Old Town Loon 111 as you know.
(Very pointed)
About the only half-skirt I have found that properly fits the 111 is the one sold by Old Town.
They seem to be hard to find anymore.
If anyone knows of any other half-Skirts that fit the 111 Loon properly please let us know.
Thanks,
A.B

will your sun skirt half skirt fit an eddyline Merlin Lt Cockpit size 1.4
7 John Weld // Apr 13, 2009 at 8:42 am
Hey Dennis,
That’s small rim for the sun skirt but depending on a few variables (like your seat placement), it may be fine, The sun skirt is 19″ long when on a boat, so, sit in your boat and measure from your stomach to the front of the rim. If it’s more than 19″, you are in good shape. Let me know if you have any more questions,

I was looking for a new back band and came across the sun skirt. Sweet. Would it fit across the front portion of the Perception 12/Sundance 12 cockpit? Cockpit is 23.5″ x 51.5″. Great for the dog etc but sometimes its just too big of an opening. Also need to replace the seat back. Can I order it all directly from you guys?

Hi Denny,
Yeah, the sun skirt should be perfect for that boat. You can order it from the website, or call us and we can help you out. In terms of the seat back- we make backbands like the one seen here, but we don’t make the back rest that come standard in that boat. For that, you would have to contact Perception.
Thanks for the note,
-John

I have a Future Beach Trophy 126, do you think that this skirt would fit my rim?

Hey Brian,
Sorry for the late reply. This is a common question, so I thought I would make a fit diagram and post it on the sun skirt page. Check it out here:

and let me know if you have any more questions.
